Right To Buy
If you are a secure tenant of a District Council or a registered social landlord you may qualify for the right to buy your property at a discounted price. For the purposes of the legislation there are two categories of tenant - those whose secure tenancy started before 18/01/2005 and those that started on or after this date. The rules basically mean that if your tenancy started on or after this date you will have to wait 5 years instead of the previous 2 years before you acquire your right to buy.
You can get up to a 70% discount depending upon how long you have lived there. This discount is, however, subject to a monetary limit.
Your adviser can help you right through from your right to buy application to your mortgage application.
...and with products requiring no deposit, if you think you may qualify what are you waiting for?
